Still working on it!

Hi, I just wanted to let you know that I'm still working on the game even if the jam has ended. I was really happy to work on a rogue like for the first time and the learning curve about creating one took a little bit more time that I wanted and I could not implement all the content I wanted.

So I've been working a little bit on it during the last weeks, I've reworked the combat system a little bit so now armors are working properly, I also fixed the xp curve for the levels, due to implementing leveling in the lasts minutes of the jam I missed an argument in the formula, that made the leveling way too fast. One other big thing was changing the way you gain go, to save time I was only doubling the max HP each time, now it's a static value each level.

With all of those modifications now the game is ... Well really boring to play, the goblins are too powerful and will always kill you one day or an other. I wasn't able to return to the last level of the crypt once. I even implemented healing spots, a fountain where you can heal once. But even that isn't enough. An other minor modification was to change the fob of the monster by one so there's more chances that they don't have a free hit.

The thing I need to had next is ranged combat, this will help a lot if you can hurt the gobos a little while they are coming to you.

One big thing that I did last weekend was to redesign the first and last floor of the game, those two are static, but the others are generated. I think I did a good job adding more depth to the world. It's less still and will have a better foundation in the lore of this little game. You can see the new floors in the screen shots I added with this devlog.

By the way, I didn't push any new version since the game is still really boring. Maybe I should enable a god mod so I can push a new version four you to explore. Maybe next weekend.
